Christmas Ministry Opportunity
Let’s share a purse filled with basic necessities for the women finding shelter at the Women’s Shelter at St Mary’s Church in Lancaster. The filled purses will be delivered to the Lancaster Co. Council of Churches, Food Hub and Clothing bank to supply the Women’s Shelter. Purses are available here at Mt. Zion, or fill one of your own gently used purses. The last Sunday to fill a purse will be Sunday, Dec. 20th. Below are some suggested items to purchase.
- Travel size shampoos, conditioners, or combination
- Travel size toothpaste/toothbrush
- Comb or brush
- Deodorant (can be travel size)
- Chapstick or similar product
- Women’s Hygiene products (tampons or pads)
- Pair of new socks
- Adult sized Covid mask (optional as these may be supplied by LCCC)
- Small gift card to grocery store or fast food restaurant
- Wash cloth with soap bar in plastic bag (supplied at church)
- Travel size hand sanitizer (supplied at church)
