Pastor Roger Kresge

Pastor Roger Kresge is a Certified Lay Minister in the United Methodist Church, and has been assigned as lay supply pastor of Mt. Zion UMC in Peach Bottom. An active lay preacher, he has provided pulpit supply for a number of churches in the Lancaster area. Roger refers to this call to lay ministry as his third career, having retired in 2015 from a career in information technology; in his first career he was a radio/TV announcer and disk jockey at several radio and TV stations in central Pennsylvania.

Roger and his wife Sue are members of Hempfield UMC in Lancaster. Prior to that they were long-time members of Covenant UMC in Lancaster, where Roger served as the church’s technical coordinator; as lay leader; and as a member of the church leadership team. Sue retired as contemporary worship leader at Covenant after nearly 20 years. Roger and Sue live in Lancaster, and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
